Archer MacMackin

A young soldier is discharged from the service and has trouble making a living. However, when he inherits a great deal of money, he finds his troubles only beginning.

Louis and August Siever, the twins sons of a German father and American mother, are traveling in Europe when war breaks out. August joins the Kaiser's army, but Louis, a supporter of the United States, is practically made a prisoner in Berlin for a year while he tries to prove his American citizenship. After a violent confrontation with Louis, August steals his brother's passport and leaves for New York with Gerda Anderson, a German spy.

John Steppling is Billy McGrath in this popular series directed by Archer McMackin, of which this is the only existing example. Billy wants to be a Broadway producer but finds is isn't so easy.

London businessman Sir Philip Bradley, travels to Canada to survey some mining properties but learns that another concern has already commissioned James Caldwell, a young engineer, to survey the land. Sir Philip hires Marie Burguet, a beautiful woman who married gambler Frank Farnsworth in order to escape a humdrum existence with her father in the mountains, to obtain the surveys from James.
