Since the day Idan was born, his mother Iris promised him that by the time he celebrated age 13, he would meet his African father, Toni Toklomati, for the very first time.

“Time Machine” goes back 30 years and depicts the narrative of Rockfour, one of the most significant rock bands in Israel. Formed in Holon by members Eli Lulai and Baruch Ben Izhak in 1988, Rockfour reached local success with the release of “The Man Who Saw It All” after which they began writing in English. In 2000, seeking world success, the band embarked on a four-year journey of intense touring throughout the USA. At a crucial moment in the midst of the American tour and following an emotional turmoil, lead singer Eli Lulai decides to quit the band and instantly returns to Israel, leaving the rest of the members to complete the tour as a trio. After a decade of absence and after the band continued its musical creation without him, Lulai returns to Rockfour, causing great excitement amongst Rockfour fans. Nevertheless, no one can guarantee a happy end.

At age 67, after reaching the top of the illustration world in Israel and beyond, Michel Kichka was forced to give up his place at the Bezalel Academy in favor of the younger generation. As a cartoonist, he documented the Zionist dream and its upending: a new and enthusiastic Zionist who came from Belgium to help in the Yom Kippur War turned prophet of doom. The evolution of his cartoons reflects a general deterioration of values ​​across Israeli society, politics, and the memory of the Holocaust. With his talent, he turned into a “rough Jerusalemite” with a Belgian accent who is not afraid to tell us the truth to our faces. To heal himself from the burden of the second generation, Kichka created a graphic novel revealing everything about his family and his father’s silence that led to a family tragedy. This work about the second generation was turned into an animated French feature film that tries to remind the younger generation of the Holocaust.

On October 7th, 1973, two gun patrol boats were sent alone on a suicide mission to attack the Egyptian coast. Miraculously, the boats returned after being stuck on the shallow shore under heavy fire. After 50 years, the investigations revealed the story of the hero from the battle whose story disappeared till this day, the late Hertzl Elmalem, along with the story of the fighters who returned. The Battle of Marsa Talamat in his name, became part of the battle ethos of the ISR Navy on Yom Kippur and in general.
