Hockey requires great commitment and even sacrifice from an early age. The thirteen-year-old players of a school hockey team, led by an experienced and perceptive coach, struggle with various problems of their age, from first loves to low self-confidence and disciplinary problems, but in the end they are all consumed by a sense of responsibility. The film touches on the dark side of the demanding sport, but it often acts childishly and simplifies the complex motivations of teenage boys.

In this 1999 documentary, which took three years to shoot, director Jan Mudra reveals Hapka's obsession with creativity, his incredible energy, and his abundance of ideas. He recalls his family background, his studies at the acting conservatory, and his first roles in Czech films. Petr Hapka began his career as a composer in the 1960s. Even then, he began writing for Hana Hegerová, with whom, as he says, he entered into a musical marriage that continues to this day. In the film, his three main lyricists—Petr Rada, ZdenÄ›k RytĂĹ™, and Michal Horáček—recall their work with Hapka. Many viewers may be surprised to learn that Petr Hapka also composed the music for three famous plays by the Divadlo Za branou theater: Provaz o jednom konci (A Rope with One End), ZelenĂ˝ papoušek (The Green Parrot), and Hodina lásky (The Hour of Love), as recalled in the film by director Otomar KrejÄŤa. He also composed the music for several films.

A leading Czech chamber ensemble performs compositions by H. Krása, E. Schulhoff, and A. Dvořák on the occasion of a memorial event commemorating the deportation of Jews from Prague's Holešovice railway station, Praha Bubny, during World War II... The Memorial of Silence is a project that has been in development for several years at the Praha Bubny railway station. This place of remembrance, which witnessed the deportation of nearly 50,000 Prague citizens of Jewish origin, is thus awakening to new significance. In addition to developing a project to convert the railway station into a place of remembrance, an educational and communication center, the Memorial of Silence team has been preparing dozens of seasonal events for several years. Their aim is to find a language for public communication for a modern memorial that seeks to commemorate war stories and events without false pathos.
