Biography
Claudio Ruccolo (born January 10, 1985), better known as Claudio Capéo, is a French singer and accordion player of Italian descent. He grew up in Cernay, Alsace. He learned to play the accordion at the young age of six and took part in musical competitions. At age 16, he was part of a metal band and later in an African jazz band. Continuing his education, he passed the Brevet d'études professionnelles (BEP) and Certificat d'aptitude professionnelle (CAP) and worked as a carpenter and decorator for 71. But never leaving his passion for music, he formed with friends the Campéo band releasing two self-published music albums: El Vagabond (2010) and Miss Mondo (2012) promoting them in live performances in France and neighbouring countries. In 2015 he released the EP Mr Jack. In 2016, he took part in season 5 of the French talent competition The Voice: la plus belle voix. In the blind auditions, he sang "Chez Laurette" from Michel Delpech with only Florent Pagny turning his chair. As part of Team Pagny, on 26 March 2016, he performed "Mathilde" from Jacques Brel in a battle against teammate Laurent-Pierre Lecordier and was eliminated. Despite his early exit from the show, Capéo has proven very popular with the French public. Just after the show, he was contacted by Sébastien Saussez, director of the French record label Jo&Co and in 2016 released the self-titled debut album Claudio Capéo that topped the SNEP French Albums chart in its first week of release staying at number 1 for five consecutive weeks. The album was certified three times platinum with sales of 300,000 copies by the beginning of 2017. Fort Boyard
Taratata was a French TV show showcasing live and pre-recorded footage of current rock acts. Presented by Nagui since its début in 1993, the show was initially shown on France 2. The show often involved surprise and unlikely duets, as well as brief interviews with the artists. Taratata was cancelled in 2000, but returned in April 2005 on the public French network France 4 once a week on prime time, France 3, and late night once a month France 2 and Virgin Radio. Artists including Devendra Banhart, Katie Melua, and Ayo made their French TV debut on the show. The show's chief lighting technician, Jean-Philippe Bourdon, was awarded two Sept d'or in 1994 and 1995. The show featured unique duets and highlights new artists and uses different presenters for each episode. These aspects, and the general emphasis on original music, led the Conseil supérieur de l'audiovisuel to identify Taratata as a uniquely creative show on French TV in April 2009. The show aired throughout Europe on TV5MONDE Europe on Saturday nights. The show is also franchised to Dubai Television in Arabic with an almost identical format to its French counterpart. On 31 May 2013, France Télévisions announced that the show was cancelled. Despite the announcement, the show will continue in a web only format and that a concert will be oragnized at Zénith de Paris on 10 October 2013. The last show was recorded on 13 June 2013 and was broadcast on 12 July 2013.

Star Academy is a French reality television show produced by the Dutch company Endemol. It consists of a contest of young singers. It spawned an equally successful show in Quebec called Star Académie. It is broadcast on TF1. At the end of each season, selected contestants would go on tour around France, Morocco, Switzerland, Belgium, Tunisia, and other French-speaking countries.
