Saima Qureshi

The story of a miserable lad, Jahangir who grew up in a hostile home with a habitually abusive father who constantly taunts his wife and bullies his son. His life gets more difficult when it reveals on his family that he is in love with a woman much older than him.

Based on the novel of the same name by Aliya Bukhari, Deewar-e-Shab tells the story of three generations of courtesans' day-to-day struggles in the previously lively Sitara Mahal.

Mannat, Haya and Nayab are all close friends. Wajih, Yawer , Shayaan and Haya are siblings. Mannat is married to Shayaan. Her In-Laws are shown as quite wealthy. However, Nayab is poor. Her mother passed away and she lives with her father Ramzaan , greedy step-mother and her 2 step-sisters. The story starts when Nayab gets murdered after a rape attempt and physical violence on the night of her friend Haya's engagement.

After their elder sons' tragic deaths, the feuding Adam and Nawab families' future rests on Shahmeer and Ana. Amid grief, they fall in love, teaming with police to end the long rivalry and bring peace to their town.
