The Lux Style Awards is the largest award ceremony held annually in Pakistan since 2002. The awards celebrate "style" in the Pakistani entertainment industry, and it is the oldest event dedicated to cinema, television, fashion, music and film industry in Pakistan.

Mrs. Ehtishaam has provided her sons with every luxury in the world. One of her sons, Abaan, is unable to live life to the fullest as he happens to be handicapped. However, her sons are unaware of a tragic secret she has been withholding from them, especially from Romaan who is always at his best behavior and is an asset to the family business. After years of causing distress to his family, Abaan finds a new target after Romaan introduces his family to the love of his life, Asma.

The story is of stubborn girl, Sassi , who makes her father Khayyam ideal and follows his footsteps and treats her mother Mumtaz "Mammo" exactly like how Khayyam treats her.

The drama is set in the fictional village of Peeraan Pur (Interior Larkana, Sindh) which tells the real concept of Gaddi and Politics. When undesired circumstances force his city-born and raised children Jahan Ara, Roshan and Shahmir to their hometown, they find themselves tangled in powerplay and politics that they never wished to be a part of. What follows is an epic tale of dynastic politics, sibling rivalry and anarchy. Badshah Begum is based on true historical incidents which took place during the 16th and 17th centuries. The characters of Jahan Ara and Roshan Ara are based on the historical figures which lived during the Mughal Empire. They were daughters of the fifth Mughal emperor Shah Jahan, Jahanara Begum and Roshanara Begum. Jahanara was the most honorable Badshah Begum of that time who established herself in the Agra Fort. The drama highlights incidents that occurred during the rule of Jahanara Begum.

Sevak follows a journalist on the run with her informant as she investigates treacherous crimes. Caught in a web of deep subterfuge, they move from clue to clue, finding themselves in the midst of real terror events as they unravel.
