In a kingdom, there lives a widowed king and his capricious and wayward daughter Jitka. One day, the king gets lost while hunting and meets a mysterious old woman and her beautiful daughter. He immediately falls in love with the girl and takes her to the castle with him. But Jitka is not thrilled about her new mother. And so she discovers that the future queen is not the daughter of a strange woman. But on the journey to find out who is who and what role she plays in the fairy tale, perhaps the most important role is played by Všudybyl, a young man who offers Jitka help and his heart at the right moment.

A romantic fairy tale about how a castle lady found her lost son, who demonstrated rare bravery, kindness of heart and intelligence. He answered the White Fairy's difficult riddles and thus obtained a miraculous seed, which was to restore Princess Johanka's speech. He was also able to forgive the chamberlain's son for depriving him of the seed and never forgot the cottager Blažej, who raised him for years when he was deprived of his castle home by intrigue. Milena Medová, the author of many television fairy tales, managed to write an original story about human calculation, envy and resentment, but also, and most importantly, about wisdom, courage, the art of forgiveness, i.e. about qualities that should be valued.

An astronomer, wooing the hand of King John's daughter, builds a royal puppet. King John considers it blasphemy, but when a puppet is shot and killed in an assassination attempt by an evil prince from a neighboring kingdom instead of King John, nothing stands in the way of the astronomer and Princess Korunca.

Mr. Ondřej longs for a bride, but he doesn't like any of them. When he discovers a picture of a girl at the market from the painter Matěj, he is literally enchanted at first sight. He therefore takes off his gentleman's coat and intends to find the girl at all costs. However, Matěj leads Mr. Ondřej by the nose. The desired girl in the picture is Rozárka, his own daughter, and he is not sure of the strength of Ondřej's feelings. Before the fairy tale reaches a happy ending and a wedding, the young man must undergo many trials.

The joyful celebrations at the royal festivities are suddenly interrupted by a juggler's attempt to kill King Gregory. The astronomer Petr, who saves the king, is accepted into service for his deed.
