Born in Shizuoka Prefecture in 1989. Graduated from the Japan Institute of the Moving Image. Made her debut as a screenwriter with the film "Fig Wasp" (2011, directed by Toshiki Sato), which she wrote while attending film school.

In a town that seeks to attract minorities, the Koga family has lived for many years with a deaf father and brother.
