Cuba, early 21st century. Mandi is a young art graduate who returns to his small coastal town to complete his community service. There, he must confront a local reality that clashes with his aspirations and ideals, placing him at a crossroads between avoiding confrontation within an oppressive political context and pursuing personal and artistic freedom.

In the near future. Humanity is on the edge of extinction and survival has become a perverse game. A couple travels somewhere unknown to make a trade-off. Cuba, summer of 1994. In the midst of período especial, one of the greatest crises in the country’s history, thousands of Cuban rafters try to reach the United States illegally, never sure if they’ll make it out alive. With holidays starting, Carlos plunges into a carefree August, wandering around with his friends and falling in love for the first time. Little does he know about the country’s uncertain future, and in this hot summer, the world of Carlos will turn upside down.
