In this short documentary, Michelangelo Antonioni enters the church of San Pietro in Vincoli in Rome to contemplate Michelangelo Buonarroti’s statue of Moses. The film consists of Antonioni’s silent observation of the sculpture and the surrounding space, recorded during a visit following the restoration of the monument.

On Monte Faito, in the Il Camino reintegration center, people on probation and drug addicts live exiled in the countryside. On the heights of Naples and its outlying districts, facing Vesuvius, these residents struggle to rebuild themselves, transform themselves before returning to their city and facing the trials that await them.

Cancer rears its head in the lives of Raymond and Raymond, a gay couple that have already had to deal with HIV/AIDS for many years. They find themselves having to reinvent their lives within a circle of friends and relationships that is not always so easy to redefine. A simple and moving story of an attempt to rebuild lives.

Aram and Virginia, an Armenian couple from the diaspora, transmit an ancestral tradition of chant which is in danger of disappearing to a troupe of European actors. During the process of creating a new play, the couple takes the company on a trip to Anatolia where the Armenian civilization has been destroyed. Along the way, the questioning of the actors brings to the forefront the wealth of this culture: the chant becomes a language of creation and sharing, the breath of life.
