Joji Sawada

Ryuji is a fisherman that has brought up his daughter Ryoko single-handedly. Ryoko and her childhood friend Kazuya have fallen in love. But when Kazuya dies in a tragic accident while diving for coral wood, Ryoko is overcome with grief and, emotionally destroyed, retreats into silent mourning.

Lian Son is a Taiwanese assassin hiding in Okinawa. Yukiko works at a lunch box shop, but she has a painful past. Saya works at a public swimming pool, but is bored with her life. The solitary lives of these three people slowly intersect with each other under the bright sunshine of Okinawa.

ATTITUDE is the directorial debut of Dynamite Tommy (COLOR), once hailed alongside X as a pillar of Japan’s rock underground—“X in the East, COLOR in the West.” Released in 2008, the film features a wide-ranging cast of musicians including TAIJI (X), PATA (X JAPAN), and members of Moon Child, Ladies Room, By-Sexual, A.R.B., G.D.FLICKERS, Kamaitachi, ANGIE, Animetal, NEW ROTE'KA, Anarchy, and The Stalin. Blending elements of tribute and documentation, ATTITUDE explores the roots and spirit of Japan’s rock scene. The home release also includes bonus content such as live performances and behind-the-scenes footage.
