Ryuji is a fisherman that has brought up his daughter Ryoko single-handedly. Ryoko and her childhood friend Kazuya have fallen in love. But when Kazuya dies in a tragic accident while diving for coral wood, Ryoko is overcome with grief and, emotionally destroyed, retreats into silent mourning.
Ryoko, a bored 18-year-old hairdresser, becomes attracted to an enigmatic young man, not realizing that he is a drug dealer involved in a conflict between rival gangs.
Lian Son is a Taiwanese assassin hiding in Okinawa. Yukiko works at a lunch box shop, but she has a painful past. Saya works at a public swimming pool, but is bored with her life. The solitary lives of these three people slowly intersect with each other under the bright sunshine of Okinawa.
