World renowned journalist Sara Ogden is traversing the world in pursuit of carriers of a fatally dangerous "Stamp of Cain" in order to prevent seemingly unrelated events such as mass murders, turmoil, revolutions and chaos. She doesn't even suspect how close she is to the edge of the abyss, when in her search she ends up in Belarus to meet face to face with the one, whom she has been searching for her entire life.

Karlsruhe, Germany, 1962. KGB agent Bogdan Stashynskii is trialed for the assasination of Ukrainian revolutionary and head of the now disbanded Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists, Stepan Bandera. However, Slava Stetsko and her spouse Yaroslav decide to take action and turn the trial into not just a memorial for Bandera, but into a through critique of the USSSR's web of political assasinations, but also the political indifference to the situation in the West.
