Maria’s husband died tragically, leaving her with overwhelming debt and two small children to care for. She tries to find a way to make ends meet, but her efforts are in vain — creditors are demanding repayment, and Maria and her children are on the verge of losing their home. Unexpectedly, a former friend makes her an unusual offer — one that could solve all her problems and give her a chance to start a new life. Maria must carry and give birth to someone else’s child… for another family.

The "Alone Anthologyc" is a project of the Andrey Konchalovsky film company that combines short films of various genres by seven aspiring Directors who reflect on what happens when a person is left alone with himself.

If the whole world is lying, why not do the same? So thinks Yegor - the protagonist of the film. But the reality all the time offers a choice: continue to lie or face the truth.

Anya is used to achieving everything in life on her own. Denying herself many things, she is the only one in the family who works and takes care of her mother and sister. Anya’s sister, Masha, is her complete opposite. Since childhood, she has been the parents’ favorite, with every whim indulged, and she is used to getting the best of everything and attracting plenty of male attention. Masha easily steals Anya’s boyfriend, Yuri, who in reality is interested neither in Masha nor Anya, but in obtaining a Moscow residence permit. Life keeps bringing Anya new surprises: unexpectedly, a man appears claiming to be her real father. Gravely ill, he comes seeking her forgiveness. But Anya’s happiness is short-lived — her father dies soon after.
