V. Senatkin

1942, the German Wehrmacht is trying to capture the Baku oilfields at the Black sea. Their biggest obstacle are the Caucasian Mountains and few Russians soldiers to stop them. The story revolves around an important Mountain Pass, that is heavily contested by both sides.

The first postwar years. The Director of a small breeding station Avdotya Pavlovna is not immediately convinced of the anti-science of the official Lysenkov direction in biology. But making sure leaving the farm as an ordinary agriculturist, where he works on breeding new wheat varieties on the basis of the persecuted Lysenkova chromosome theory of heredity.

After the Bolshevik coup Alexei Tolmachev comes to enter the university. However, he becomes a chekist and receives his first assignment - to establish a connection with the Odesa conspirators and to gather the atamans in the city to finish off the bandits in one go...
