Biography
Teppei ISOBE was born in Osaka in 1978. After graduating from Visual Arts College Osaka, he worked on music videos and commercials as a freelancer. In 2016, he began directing independent short films. For WHO KNOWS ABOUT MY LIFE (2018 / NC ’19), he won the award for best short film at SKIP CITY INTERNATIONAL D-Cinema FESTIVAL 2018. F IS FOR FUTURE (2019 / NC ’20) is his first feature-length film.
Known For

Futa (Watanabe Shu) relocates from the city to the countryside and is being hassled for loan payments for the farmland and house that he bought. His partner Minori (Goriki Ayame) sees what is going on and pulls out a mysterious ring to use for the repayments. But from there, the two get pulled into a world where fantasy and reality are blurred. Tears of Persephone

Shinpei first meets Kasumi at a movie theatre, in a certain way an impressive encounter as he wrongly sits in her seat. The path of the two cross again as Kasumi later becomes Shinpei’s co-worker at a restaurant. One night, Shinpei finds Kasumi acting suspiciously in front of a building. She is stalking her boyfriend, whom she suspects cheated on her. Knowing the secret, Shinpei is asked to lend a hand in the infidelity investigation. Their nights then turn into a detective game and Shinpei finds himself drawn to the charm of Kasumi...

Overnight Walk
