Sonia is a young girl who studies in college and belongs to a poor family living in a small town called Khaddepur. One day, while going to her college, she gets involved in a car accident and the car is driven by Naveed , the driver of a famous and influential fashion designer Nafisa Mehboob.
The story is the emotional and traumatic journey of Parveen un Nisa, a woman living in a post modernist society, where individuals are valued on the basis of their skills and their socio-economic achievements.
Baaji takes the audiences on a journey filled with glamour, romance, scandal and intrigue. The film also pays a tribute to the classic social dramas of Pakistani cinema of the 1960s and the 1970s, while also finding inspiration from the golden era of Hollywood of the 1940s and 1950s.
