Gooische Vrouwen is a Dutch comedy-drama series, created by Linda de Mol for her brother John de Mol's TV network Tien in 2005. However, after the show's second season, Tien went bankrupt and Gooische Vrouwen was transferred to RTL4, where it ran for three more seasons until its finale in 2009. After its 42-episode run the show was followed by a theatrically released feature film in 2011. The show chronicles the everyday lives of four female friends living in het Gooi. Gooische Vrouwen has since been sold to Germany, Belgium, France and Serbia.

Three guys, all in their late 30s and early 40s, are going through a divorce. They decide to live together for a while to get through the tough times. As they go through the ups and downs of their shared experience, they start to become really good friends. The show explores the ups and downs of divorce, showing the intense emotions, heated arguments, the weight of loss, the lingering doubts, the responsibilities of parenthood, the financial implications, and the journey of self-discovery while rebuilding their lives.

After the elevators at a New York City skyscraper begin inexplicably malfunctioning, putting its passengers at risk, mechanic Mark Newman and reporter Jennifer Evans begin separate investigations. Grocer De Feyter is put out of business by competition from a supermarket run by the Moroccan Saïd. To keep afloat, he does the dirty work for a right-wing politician. This man is in cahoots with a project developer who wants to build a furniture superstore in the slum area. With the aid of criminals, they manage to bring racial tension in the area to boiling point. Against this background, affection blossoms between the daughter of the grocer and the son of Saïd, a real Romeo and Juliet. Then a group of skinheads decides to put an end to the fragile romance with violence.

Comical short film shows how fifty-year-old Diana Roos is doing her driving test for the twenty-sixth time. Very nervous and having the hiccups, Diana takes her seat next to the moustached examiner.
