Police officer Sophie Maibach continues to serve with the Guardia Civil in Tenerife as part of the German-Spanish exchange program. Her routine task of assisting her colleague Álvaro Krupp Casado with police matters involving German-speaking tourists and island residents gives the woman in her mid-twenties the opportunity to secretly pursue her own mission: solving the mystery surrounding her father’s accidental death five years ago.
An exchange program for "safe tourism" takes German police officer Sophie Maibachs (Anke Retzlaff - "Across the Border") to Tenerife. However, she also has other intentions there. Five years ago, her father (Michael Roll) died in a hit-and-run accident. There are many indications that the person responsible also lives in Tenerife.
Barcelona, 1966. Laia is a Law student at the University of Barcelona. She works part time in the University library to help cover her tuition, and writes songs in her free time. Laia starts dating Ignasi, a student who is committed to the clandestine fight against the Franco regime. Someone breaks into their relationship; David, Ignasi's best friend. A shallow boy from a well-to-do family. But David is not who he seems to be.
