A young man, his wife, and their child move to Istanbul to start a new life. Since they don't have a home, the family starts staying with the man's uncle's son. Some time later, he hears that Zekiye has fallen into a life of prostitution in Istanbul. This time, Sefer searches for her in Istanbul and, just as he is about to give up hope, he encounters Zekiye. He is determined to kill her and restore his honor.

In this biographical drama, the Turkish writer Rifat Ilgaz (Tarik Akan) is forced to go into internal exile after World War Two, because the government suspects him of being a communist. Most of the movie follows him while he is on the lam, and during his reunion with his wife, who grows testy from the restrictions that hiding him impose on her. Eventually he turns himself in, and while in prison, suffers some torture. All the same, he endures with the flame of his spirit undiminished.

Osman, a truck driver, takes on the responsibility of the household after his father's death. When he is away from home, his mother and younger sisters Fatma and Zehra take care of the household. One day, Osman returns home from out of town and is murdered. The suspect in Osman's murder is Fatma's boyfriend. Zehra then takes action to avenge her brother's murderers.

This is one of the tragicomic films of Kemal Sunal who is most "serious-comic" artist of the Turkish cinema. This film also reflects socio-economic and cultural life of the 70's-80's Turkiye. The film obviously talk to Turkish audience but who wonder that era of Turkiye can taste of it. The film underlines of love, friendship and -richness in the poorness- and also is a story about the people who prefers love, instead of money and fortune. The theme and narration may include some populist elements -like most Kemal Sunal films- but generally tells its story as well. The story is familiar to Turkish audience: A young man loves young girl. In most Turkish love films one of the partners is rich or poor according to the other but in this movie both sides are poor and they have many difficulties to reach happy end. In my opinion, these kind of movies always gives hope to people to get over it.
