Biography
Mayra Veliz, woman filmmaker (director, writer) from Guadalajara, Mexico. Winner of IMCINE’s (Mexican Film Institute) 1st contest to support film production in Mexico’s Western region, 2015, with the short film "Lejos de Casa" (2017). Participant in the 2020 IMCINE’s “virtual poles” program with the documentary idea "... Esperanza", later winner of the support for post-production through the promotion program for Mexican cinema (FOCINE) 2021.
