Biography
Karol Lindholm is a filmmaker and festival curator, born in Koszalin, Poland. His life has taken him across Europe, living in Germany, Poland, and Denmark, with family roots in Sweden. Now based in Berlin, he works in both documentary and fiction. He earned a Master of Arts in Cinematography and Photography from the Krzysztof Kieślowski Film School at the University of Silesia and later completed the Ekran+ program in Screenwriting and Directing at the Wajda School and Studio. His short films In a Lion and The Last Whistle have been screened at international festivals, won awards, and been exhibited in art galleries worldwide. His most recent feature film project has been developed within Berlinale Talents and the Camerimage Talent Demo. Since 2021, Lindholm has also been part of the programming team for the short documentary competition at Slamdance Film Festival, one of the leading independent film festivals in the United States.
