An intimate psychological film which elaborates the Faustian theme about the dispute between the body and the soul - a study on human identity. Two young doctors carry out the surgical exchange of the brains of two women who are dying after a car accident - a young girl and member of a criminal gang, and a lonely seventy-year-old associate professor of oriental studies. On Saturday, October 12, 1996, Miroslav Donutil welcomed a sold-out crowd to Prague's Lucerna Hall, bringing his guests and friends onto the stage with him. Among them were Jiří Suchý and the Semafor Theater Orchestra, Jiří Sovák, Iva Bittová, Hana and Petr Ulrych with the band Javory, Miloš Štědroň with the original band of the Na provázku Theater, Bambini di Praga, and others. The program also included the presentation of two platinum records for 120,000 copies sold of the albums "Pořád se něco děje" and "Furt ve střehu," released by Multisonic. The evening, with its unique atmosphere, was recorded by Czech Television.

Prince Dominik torments his father with his aversion to marriage so much that the king has him locked up in an old tower. In prison, the prince is discovered by the water nymph Aneta, who is enchanted by the young man's beauty. She boasts about her latest discovery to her friend, the genie Létavec. However, he objects to the nymph, saying that the most beautiful creature is the emperor's daughter, Princess Budúr, who rejects all suitors. The magical beings bring their favorites together so they can compare their charms. However, they have no idea that this fateful meeting will cause Prince Dominik and Princess Budúr to fall in love.

It tells the story of a young man who was turned into a donkey by curiosity and a fatal mistake. While the hero despairs and does not know how to return to human form, we can observe through his eyes the society that surrounds him. The television fairy tale of screenwriter Jiří Bednář and director František Filip alternates dramatic tension with comic moments.

“A burned-out group of Brno intellectuals decides to go to Kolochava in Ukraine to perform ‘A Ballad for a Bandit’ there.” With these words, the author's collective presents their film, in which they use primarily documentary imagery to compose a lyrical grotesque about an epochal trip, which might be their goal. But it doesn't have to be. The main tool of expression here is the film’s edit, which places various shots, statements, and meanings next to each other, often in a sort of productive conflict. Just like in a poem, the “poetic function” of art and its ability to serve as the primary tool for expressing beauty is manifested in full force before our very eyes.
