Biography
Awat Ratanapintha (Somkit) is a Thai actor, screenwriter, and emerging producer with over 14 years of experience in film, television, and acting. His experience, creative work, and producing practice span short films, artist documentaries, and experimental live performance. His notable works include “Doi Boy” (2023), “Beneath the Skin” (2024), and “Operation Undead” (2024). An alumnus of Berlinale Talents, his performance in “Doi Boy” earned him the Rising Star award at BIFF, multiple Best Actor awards in Thailand, and a nomination at the Asian Film Awards. He is known as a versatile and dedicated actor and filmmaker, crafting emotionally resonant and socially engaged stories across mediums.
