Biography
Priyadarshini is an Indian playback singer. She began her singing career by performing a duet song with Hariharan for the Tamil film Kadhal Dot Com under music director Bharathwaj. She later sung a duet with S. P. Balasubrahmanyam for Yash's Kannada movie Rocky. She has sung over 80 movies in the Tamil, Kannada, Telugu and Hindi languages. She has worked with renowned music directors including Bharathwaj, D. Imman, Hamsalekha, Mano Murthy, Gurukiran, R.P.Patnaik, Rajesh Ramnath, K. Kalyan, S A Rajkumar, Venkat, Ganesh Narayan, M N Krupakar, Mahesh Mahadev, C R Bobby, Ravish A T and others. The soundtrack for her recent Tamil Movie Naan Than Bala was released by Venkat Krishi. Her few hit movies include Cheluvina Chittara, Rocky, News, Nandhi, Preethiyinda Ramesh, Kusthi, Seena, Nermugam, Nannedeya Haadu, Win, Kadhal Dot Com, Giri, Simhabaludu, Manikyam 420 and many others. She has sung on over 200 albums and jingles. She is a first Indian Playback Singer to pursue PhD research in Film Music from University of Mysore .
