Biography
Berio was born in A Fonsagrada, Lugo, in 1979. He was a member of the performance collective Flexo from 1999 to 2004, co-organizer of the IFI Festival of New Trends in 2002, 2003, and 2004, and part of the soundscapes and augmented aurality collective Escoitar.org from 2006 to 2016. He was a founding member of the free art and action community Alg-a, part of the performance creation collective áIntemperie, and the two-headed entity Ohn. Together with Isaac Cordal, he co-manages the Alg-a Netlabel, an online platform dedicated to publishing experimental audio works. In 2011, he co-founded Pumpun with Chiu Longina, a studio focused on multimedia project development, which he left in 2016. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Vigo, specializing in Sculpture. He also has a Master's in Digital Arts from Pompeu Fabra University (Barcelona) and a Master's in Computer Graphics Design from the Rochester Institute of Technology (R.I.T) in New York, thanks to a scholarship granted by the Barrié de la Maza Foundation.
Known For

Seven masked groups interact with several landscapes. They wear clothes with fossils drawn on their back, carrying the identity of a buried memory. They use their bodies to hit the cities, provoking vibrations in the architectural structures and modifying the soundscape of their habitants. They listen the collapse of the silenced ruins, while watching the death of Albert Speer’s legacy. They capture the wind with their shake movements, revealing the voices that were separated from the language, the noises that were extracted from the objects. 7 limbos turns its eyes to the spectator and invites him: “Come dance with me, don’t bring anything” 7 limbos is a sound journey through the veiling of the spectral that passes through the membranes of visibility.
