With all the unrest and uncertainty in the world today, now feels as good a time as any for a movie portraying good will and love between people from opposing countries. The film is a love story set in the city of Matsuyama in Ehime Prefecture on the Japanese island of Shikoku against the historical backdrop of the Russo-Japanese War. The movie is centered around the romance between a Russian officer, a war prisoner in Matsuyama, and a Japanese nurse who find themselves on opposing sides of the war. It is a kind of "Romeo and Juliet story of the Russo-Japanese War".

There has existed a fierce god named "Otokogami" since the Old Stone Age. The god is called "Otokogami (literally translated as Male God)" because he takes young boys as sacrifices. However, no one actually knew what he really was. The story starts when Wada, a guy who works for a construction company, finds a buried cultural asset during construction in the newly developed residential area of Nissei City. A few days later, something strange happened. A deep hole appeared at the construction site, and Wada's son went missing. The hole leads to a mysterious forest where beautiful women in kimonos and shrine maidens perform a mysterious ritual to appease a male deity. When Wada learns that his son has wandered into the forest, he decides to jump into the hole to rescue his son.

Mikhail is a writer who has a supernatural power to erase people's memories. He has many visitors who want to get their bad experiences out of their minds. He uses their erased memories for inspiration in his novels. One day, he finds that his daughter has disappeared.
