Directing
Follows Karl (Nils Vogt), economist and accountant, after he is fired from his job and subsequently divorced by his greedy wife. After being helped out by his former colleague, Nils (Sven Nordin) and a travelling salesman, Henry (Arve Opsahl), the three become roommates.
Following the events of the last episode of Mot i brøstet, Karl moves out of his old house and into a new apartment in downtown Oslo. There he gets acquainted with the chairman Ulf, the janitor Smestad and the cleaning maid Mrs. Frantzen. His sister Vigdis also comes to visit frequently.
As the new millenium approaches, Karl & Ulf ('Karl & Co') begin planning a big party, reuniting Karl with some old friends he thought he'd seen the last of.
