Maider, a filmmaker, moves to the very same flat where pedadogist Elbira Zipitria Irastorza (1906-1982) clandestinely established the first ikastola, a Basque school, under the harsh regime of dictator Francisco Franco. Despite of her pioneering work, developed throughout thirty years, her story is not well known, so Maider, intrigued, begins to research…

This is a film about empty spaces. On the one hand, the disappearance of Our Lady of Zikuñaga, a 13th century sculpture, serves to reflect on the importance that we give to images and on how we build these images in the collective memory. On the other hand, the death of the filmmaker's father, Juanmi Gutiérrez, a film and documentary-maker who left us all of his images when he died.

Is the seed of happiness planted during childhood? The early years of our lives, the ones we no longer remember, leave a deep imprint on us. But is that imprint permanent? Or does it perhaps evolve? This is the voyage to that place forgotten by the memory, a journey from the mother I have become today to the baby I once was.

Documentary which, through the letters of Frances Wilkinson, an English woman who lived in China between the unsettled 30’s and 50’s, takes us on a journey to today’s China, comparing the letters’ point of view with that of the documentary-maker. A game of contrasts video-diary style involving the intimate reading of the letters by Frances’ granddaughter.
