Merchant Lindby, Susann's father, also comes to Oslo to celebrate. He is celebrating his anniversary together with Turi and Alexis.

Journalist Tore Haugen returns to Norway from the United States. He falls in love with journalist Tore Næss and soon discovers that he has been hired by the same newspaper as her. Næss shows outstanding qualities and develops into a star reporter, while Haugen is mediocre. When they have a child together, the question arises as to who should sacrifice their career to stay home with the child. Haugen soon finds himself comfortable in the role of stay-at-home dad.

It ends in discouragement and defeat then wonders absent for Gabrielsen , and personal tragedies for those who were misguided .

There is a confusion between comedy treasurer Theodor Jensen and an escaped felon, Gerhardt Müller, both played by Carsten Winger. Nanna Stenersen had the role of Mrs Jensen.
