Biography
Omar Abdi is as Finnish-Somalian actor and youth councelor. Abdi emigrated to Finland as a refugee when he was 8 years old. He grew up in Finland and became a youth counselor, and worked with young people in the capital region for more than 20 years. Abdi has moved back to Somaliland around 2023. Abdi's acting career started when he met director Juho Kuosmanen in a café, while Kuosmanen and Khadar Ayderus Ahmed were looking for actors for their short film Citizens (2008).
