Biography
Mara Venier (born Mara Povoleri; 20 October 1950) is an Italian actress and television presenter. She began her career in film and television in the 1970s before becoming widely known as host of the long-running Rai 1 variety show Domenica In, a role she has held in multiple seasons since 1993 and for which she is considered a defining figure in Italian Sunday television. In addition to her work on Domenica In, Venier has appeared in a number of films and TV series and remains a prominent personality in Italian entertainment.
Known For

The Sanremo Music Festival is the most popular Italian song contest and awards, held annually in the town of Sanremo, Imperia, Italy, and consisting of a competition amongst previously unreleased songs. The Festival was the inspiration for the Eurovision Song Contest.
