Topa ou Não Topa is the Brazilian version of Deal or No Deal, broadcast in Portuguese by SBT. It is hosted by Silvio Santos. There are 26 cases, containing amounts from R$ 0.50 to R$ 1,000,000. On August 25, 2010, the gameshow returned and the host is Roberto Justus but in similar set to the old version. Like most sets of Brazilian versions of US game shows, their set and graphics are a dead ringer to the American counterpart. The R$1,000,000 grand prize was won by a man named Paulo in April, 2007.
The soap opera told the story of Fernando Dalba, or Nando, a fruit vendor who works with his mother, the Baroness, and his friends Gino and Guiomar. Cristina's intention is to win a bet, but she falls in love with Nando, who is engaged to Candinha.
For over 60 years, Silvio Santos, a legend of Brazilian TV, entertained audiences every Sunday with games, jokes, interviews, and his famous “Who wants money?” catchphrase. After he stepped away, his daughter Patrícia Abravanel took over the show, continuing his legacy and keeping it a defining part of SBT and the influence of Senor Abravanel.
Vende-se um Véu de Noiva is a Brazilian telenovela produced and broadcast by SBT from June 16, 2009, to January 9, 2010. It is based on the radio serial of the same name written by Janete Clair, which was also adapted into the 1969 telenovela Véu de Noiva by TV Globo. Created and adapted by Íris Abravanel, with collaboration from Jaqueline Vargas and Yoya Wursch, and directed by Del Rangel, the telenovela stars Day Mesquita, Daniel Alvim, Elaine Cristina, Marcos Winter, Thaís Pacholek, and Zé Carlos Machado. The story follows Maria Célia and Rubens Baronese, a couple whose lives are changed by a tragic conspiracy involving Maria's cousin Eunice, who plans to take away their newborn child. Years later, the consequences of this crime affect their families, revealing secrets, betrayals, ambition, and the struggle for truth, justice, and reconciliation.
