In 1924, a time when both steam engine trains and early Showa Era's first train stations are just beginning. In the waiting room of Asumoe Station, a small country station, a passenger finds an abandoned baby and rushes to tell the station master, Tokiwa Jiro. The news quickly spreads and soon friends of Tokiwa's along with other townsfolk are saying that this baby must be a gift, it is Tokiwa's recently departed beloved wife reborn as a baby.

Sakura runs a secondhand bookstore in Tokyo with a hidden "meeting place" where those in need can gather, share their stories, and enjoy a free meal. Offering comfort and support, Sakura creates a space for healing and connection.

The 56th NHK Asadora Renzoku Drama is Agri. Story's settings include Okayama and Tokyo (Ichigaya). This renzoku chronicles the life of a Showa period hairdresser, and is based on a true life story of Moshizuki Agri. Agri has worked for over 70 years as a beautician. She is a successful business woman who survived the war by becoming a farmer. During the war, going to the beauty salon was considered a frivolity, so many such businesses went bankrupt as Japan suffered from the energy spent as all the yen was fueled into the war effort.

"Tanpopo Farm," a facility overlooking the ocean, offers rehabilitation for troubled youth—those from reform schools, bullied individuals, and those dealing with addictions. Kitayama Shuji, who runs the farm, faces rejection from the town and even his daughter but remains committed to helping these young people heal. The story unfolds as Sakuragi Tsubasa arrives at Tanpopo Farm and meets Sawaguchi Haruka, a popular high school basketball player. Despite her bright exterior, Haruka faces betrayal from her mother, opposition from her father (a City Council member against the farm), and bullying at school. Through their bond, Tsubasa and Haruka find solace and begin to develop deeper feelings for each other.

"Kaigo Snack Versailles" follows Shū Kohinata, a young woman with a disdain for the elderly, who begins working at a mysterious snack bar where elderly patrons regain their youth, leading her on a transformative journey of understanding and growth.

It's a dilemma many young women face - they want to get married, but don't want the responsibilities of a daughter-in-law. Miyuki is an engineer working for a construction firm, who is forced to try to find a way to shuffle a career and housework. When her new husband is sent to work on a project in Africa, Miyuki finds facing his family daunting. However, the warm welcome they give her helps to put her at ease... but not for long.

The protagonist, Ryuhei Oyamada, is a successful manager at a housing company. After a major project, he is unexpectedly transferred to lead the "Ceremonial Services Department," a role he initially sees as a demotion. He struggles to adapt to his new duties, which involve organizing weddings and funerals for company employees. Through various conflicts and challenges, he gradually begins to appreciate the profound human connections and emotional depth of his work. The drama follows his journey as he learns to accept his unconventional job and recognizes its true value.

When an eager young man gets an elementary school teaching position as his first job, he finds a school staff and student body stricken with apathy. He vows to find a way to invigorate his students and co-workers, but his tendency to burn a straight path toward his goals, while failing to consider any obstacles in his way, may be his biggest fault. Or it may turn out to be his greatest asset.

Despite being transferred to an obscure department, the main character of this family drama nevertheless sees his position in the company to be just as important as his role in his family. His skills as family peacekeeper are constantly challenged by his younger sister, his brother and his fiancée's mother.
