Set in Berlin and New York's Lower East Side, The Great Yiddish Love stars the self-exiled Marlene Dietrich and her Nazi-endorsed replacement, Zarah Leander. It is a melodrama of love, emigration, and betrayal reassembled from Hollywood, German Ufa and Yiddish films from the 1930s and 40s.

"BOOM" weaves together images from New York City luxury real estate listings into a single virtual tour. Cutting between multi-million dollar apartments with "soaring cinematic views" "BOOM" depicts a city that has undergone a dizzying transformation into perhaps the world's largest gated community.

"Where the Truth Lies" is a found footage collage poem for absurd times. Disparate images, sounds and text collide in a world of trickery and deception.

Reversal combines images and sounds from movies released or broadcast in 1973, the year the Supreme Court decided Roe v Wade. In the strange new reality ushered in by the Dobbs decision, the slogan "We won't go back" is recalled with bitter irony. This collage piece evokes the specter of regression and repression that has followed the Court's decision.

Color Separation is about my father David Nerwen who was an artist and graphic designer. He made hand stitched abstract wool designs on canvas and worked in the printing industry. This video weaves together found and shot footage to reflect on his creative work, physical and cognitive decline and the sadness of losing a parent.

Sampling from 70 years of filmmaking, 'Traveling Shots: NYC' moves through the streets, alleys, bridges and subways of New York City. This urban portrait inter-cuts the past with the present, the real with the imagined on a remixed trip to the iconic movie city.

"Field of Vision" moves between the real and the imagined, the built and natural worlds, and explores how we see with both our eyes and our minds. It weaves together layers of images and sounds with police blotter reports and descriptions of visual and auditory hallucinations.
