Expectante is a fiction that emulates some apparently dangerous situations evoking the constant paranoia of an insecurity city's people.

A forensic doctor works in the morgue; his only social interaction is with the corpses that arrive daily. One day, the corpses stop arriving, and the forensic doctor's wait begins.

Through sequence shots, the life of Juliana Alegría is portrayed, a woman of approximately 50 years of age who on weekdays works in her neighborhood selling drinks and sandwiches from a cart in the mornings and evenings, and on weekends travels to the province of Huacho where she visits places and spends time with her partner.
