Known For

The movie takes place during World War II and depicts the true story of Jan Baalsruds amazing escape from the German army from the coast of Northern Norway and across the border to the neutral country Sweden.
Nine Lives

The movie takes place on Oslo's east side sometime during the twenties. It depicts the workers' environment by traditional elements like unemployment, strike, poverty, alcoholism, absent fathers, wise and tired mothers, the dream of a better life and the friendship between the boys in the street.
Boys from the Streets

One day, Laffen, a family man, homeowner, and watchmaker, overhears his 17-year-old son lecturing his younger siblings. He gives them a shocking analysis of their poor father. The father puts on his workout clothes and goes for a jog in the neighborhood, to the amusement of his neighbors and the despair of his family. After a lucky shot, he wins the gold medal in athletics.
Daddy's Success

An American bomber is shot down on the Norwegian coast during World War II. The airmen bail out and land at different locations. In spite of the German search for them, the Norwegian resistance picks them up and hides them in the attic of the local church, a center of operations. Things become tense, however, when the hideout is spotted by a notorious collaborator, and soon the protagonist, Hans, has to get the airmen to Sweden.

Fandango is the director of a traveling circus. He brings with him a handful of artists who have to stick together to succeed, but there is a clear conflict between the director and the artists.

The protagonist is a jovial bus driver, well beloved by his passengers, essentially the whole community around him. The bus, however, is old, and needs to be replaced. The bus driver himself is also needed as a handyman for all the people around him, assisting with stray cattle, household machines, children's homework, errands of all kinds, and at one occasion, assisting birth. Progress is however leaving him behind, and the local county council plots on a solution, involving a new bus and driver. The community revolts, and the local midwife (married to the mayor) intervenes with all the locals to keep the bus driver, who ends up keeping his job in a new bus.

An-Magritt

While Sigurd Helmer is being dressed in his bishop's robes, the fanatical Tornkvist arrives at the ordination and watches from the background. Even before the ordination is over, he goes to the police. He has evidence that Helmer has stolen the office with the help of anonymous letters that slandered Tornkvist in the battle for the bishop's crozier. At the banquet in the bishop's residence, Tornkvist drops the accusation like a bomb. At the same time, he announces his engagement to Helmer's daughter, and the banquet table dissolves into complete confusion. Only Helmer's wife stands firm in her belief in his innocence. Helmer is then brought to trial, accused by Tornkvist. Based on Axel Kielland's play from 1955.

Journey to the Sea

One autumn day, Ivar goes to the Botanical Garden in Oslo to visit Maria who is the mother of a little girl named Tilla. Ivar is a child psychologist and had Tilla observed a few months earlier. Treatment for her was agreed upon, but Maria has not returned with Tilla. Now Ivar finds her sleeping under a tree in the garden, and he meets Maria bent over a microscope in the laboratory. Maria has become even more nervous and unbalanced than the last time he met her, because nothing has been "corrected" as quickly as she had hoped -- Tilla has not spoken now for a year and a half. Maria herself is on her way to being as closed off as her own little girl. Ivar persuades Maria to come to the pediatric psychiatric clinic with Tilla so they can begin her treatment. There she meets Mimi Backer. But neither does Mimi get Maria to open up about her experiences with Tilla. In the clinic's observation room, however, the first little flicker of light falls on the mystery...
About Tilla

Tim is a proofreader at a newspaper in Oslo by day, and a pyromaniac at night. Only one other knows about Tim’s dark side: his childhood friend and editor of the newspaper. The two have kept the secret for years until the secretary, Margrethe, finds out.
Fire in the Night

The good priest gets a mystery to solve on his way home by ship to Oslo. A crew member dies, with a final wish to help Makken, and deliver a gold watch to Lily. But Lily denies knowing the man, and is scared when she hears the name Makken.
