Daishi Morimiya is a high school student whose dream is to become a wheelchair, track-and-field athlete. In addition to that, Miyako Fukai, a former wheelchair athlete, becomes Daishi’s coach. One day, a handsome alien falls from the sky when Daishi was practicing with Miyako, surrounded by his friends and father (who is employed at an old factory). The handsome alien named Goo, after escaping a mass genocide somewhere in Earth’s binary star, warns Daishi and his friends that Earth is in danger. Then, a giant lizard-like monster who is after Goo, attacks Daishi’s household. That’s when Goo’s Mode Shifter begins to emit light, radiating Daishi. His body is completely transformed by a special protector. The transformed Daishi charges at the monster while still in his wheelchair.

Futami is a 17-year-old high school girl. Her father was killed in the war, her mother is hospitalized due to illness, and she lives with her senile grandmother. As she spends her adolescence surrounded by this "great sadness," her friend runs away from home and comes to live with her. This is the first film of the "16mm Film Production Support Project" (now PFF Scholarship) which started in 1984.

A Man Who Became Cinema

A village in a different world that I do not know anywhere. There are five laws in the village, and if you break that rule you will be punished. The driver of the bus with the synonym of "Bengal's Tiger" attempts to escape from the village with two friends, but failed five times. By the instruction of the computer of "city", memory is erased as punishment. After that, the village steadily got dominated by the computer of the "city", and the driver of the bus who lost his memory kept living calmly while being watched by the lover. Meanwhile, a guerrilla group had been expecting the collapse of computer control.

In the late 1960s, photographer Takuma Nakahira published the legendary photography magazine Provoke with Daido Moriyama. With this edgy writings and photographs, Nakahira rejected preexisting photographic expression. In 1977, an alcohol-induced coma resulted in a permanent partial memory loss. In the following years, with gradual recovery, Nakahira started photographing stray cats, homeless, and thatched roofs in the neighborhood near his home in a monomaniac manner. This is documentary is a portrait of the Nakahira's daily life. Directed by photographer Takashi Homma.
