Shinji Hosoe

The story follows Justice Akazuka (a.k.a. Seigi), a young man who is good at martial arts. One day, Seigi rescues a homeless old man from some thugs, and the man gives him an object that imprints a tattoo on his palm. However, it is not an ordinary tattoo, but a special weapon that gives Seigi supernatural powers such as warping space-time. Seigi then meets a female American agent named Izzie, whose duty is to recover the tattoos. He decides to help her and gets wrapped up in a cross-national conspiracy.

With his last memory being that of his kidnapping, college student Sigma awakens to find himself trapped in a facility with eight strangers. The captives are soon informed that if they want to escape, they must play the "Nonary Game"—a complex contest of trust and betrayal, where deciding whom to believe in is the difference between life and death. To make matters worse, any initial trust between the players is tainted when they realize that the mastermind behind their predicament may be one of them...

A documentary of game sound from the Victorian arcades through to today, with a special focus on video game sound, but also including mechanical games and pinball. Beep is a feature film, but also a series of webisodes and DVD extras, a book, and a collection of resources found on the Beep website.
