The adventures of self-proclaimed and overzealous director Mariusz and his two companions Gregory and Peter, who, after a failed attempt to make a film and escape from their creditors, nevertheless decide to finish the film and become giants of world cinema and shoebusiness sharks.

A short music film, a feature illustration of Vivaldi’s opera Stabat Mater performed by Jakub Józef Orliński and Capella Cracoviensis. The music here accompanies events in which the theme of the Sorrowful Mother is originally interpreted by the director and set in an undefined contemporary time. Atmospheric, strangely wandering, emotional narrative with a surprising finale, starring Jakub Józef Orliński himself, not only as a countertenor but also as a stirring actor.

Poland in the 80’s was a country ruled by crisis and a sense of hopelessness. Only few knew how to turn crisis into a business. It was a golden time for them. How did they know what would bring them money? How did they operate in a country where almost everything was forbidden?

A savage parody of the Polish film industry, where a self-appointed director and his hapless sidekick, joined by a bumbling businessman, attempt to make a blockbuster without a script, driven only by egos and the promise of cash. Their shoot devolves into a farce of unpaid castings, half-naked auditions, and Tarantino-inspired delusions, ensuring disaster from the first clapperboard.
