Walking home from the train station she has to go through the forest. Katya is attacked by a rapist in mask, but, fortunately, he is frightened by a dog, and he escapes. Police refuse to search for a rapist, since "there was no actual rape". Katya's life turns into a nightmare when violent attacks become regular.
