In Cuba, a Maternity Home is a place for women who have complications during pregnancy. The portrayal of the situations that occur in this shared space invite the viewer into the expectations of a group of adolescents in this unique situation.

After a long life as a devoted wife and homemaker, Cuca (70) is confronted with her husband’s death. The news brings relatives and neighbors to her home, obliging her to tend to the formalities of the occasion. In private, Cuca experiences solitude for the first time.
