Paha yskä - ja yhä pahenee

Masochists are in for a treat when Spede Productions' most vulgar folk farce hits the screen. Created by no fewer than three first-time directors, the film tells the story of the village of Pölhölä, "where people are even more foolish than in Hölmölä."
Pölhölä

The hosts of the television program Oma maa mansikka promise 10 million to anyone who manages to turn the remote village of Taka-Surkee into a popular tourist destination. The challenge is taken up by Arvid and Valtte, two Roma men; Naema-Aslak and Soikiapää, two Sami men who are fond of alcohol; and Vähänen, a former bank clerk who worked at the bank before certain irregularities came to light. Taka-Surkee has no town plan, nor much else, but it does have Römppäinen's kiosk and a man who asks about Viljo. The villagers themselves do not want tourists in their neighborhood, so they decide to put the prize money in a better place...
Onks' Viljoo näkyny?

Aspiring young comedian Hepi rides a moped and sleeps in cars left at a garage for repair. He joins a group of older but equally bad comedians trying to capture and sell their art on videotape. Hepi charms a girl working in the Zoological Museum with his imitations of bird sounds. Alienated look at the frustrations of show business, as presented by a cast of popular Finnish TV comedians with their absurd dialogue and eccentric inside jokes.
