Sarcastic comedy about the Czechoslovakia of the seventies. A young gynaecologist can't figure out whether to get serious with a young nurse or to stay casual with his married lover. Things get complicated when both women don't want to play his game anymore.

Young blacksmith Mikeš sets out into the world for an adventure, accompanied by the miller's assistant Matěj and the boy Ondra. On their journey to rescue three enchanted princesses, the young men encounter a mischievous old hag, magic, and traps set by the Black King, but most importantly, they face their own temptations.

A young man studying law finds a place to stay with a young conductor, thinking that he will find an idyllic Lesser Town atmosphere here and will be able to prepare for his exams in peace. The house is inhabited by distinctive characters. The owner, who sometimes loses his memory, and his lovely, modest daughter of marriageable age live here, as do an unsuccessful painter and his temperamental wife, as well as a certain mysterious Provazník, who writes anonymous letters to his neighbors in order to have malicious fun at their expense. However, the landlady causes the young man the greatest trouble...

The sun is shining, the river is sparkling, and a boating group sets off downstream for a holiday adventure. Led by the enthusiastic leader Tom, they travel down the river in two punts and a kayak. The peaceful journey is disrupted by a group of gypsies who bombard the boats from the bridge with plastic bags filled with water. That same day, the boaters and the gypsies meet again. Despite the tense atmosphere, both parties try to make peace, but it doesn't last long. The situation worsens when one of the girls loses the group's money. The boaters still want to continue their journey. Tom therefore declares a state of shipwreck, and everyone gathers together the remaining money and supplies. When some of the money is lost, suspicion falls on the gypsies, whom the boaters have met again. However, it soon turns out that the thief is someone from the group. Disputes break out, distrust grows into open hostility, and tension builds...

Based on someone else's script, he made a committed, building story: it tells the story of an experienced engineer who is commissioned to assemble a team of specialists for engineering the peaceful use of atomic energy. However, the explanation of human dilemmas is too flat and proclamatory, as is the image of Ostrava's industrial environment; the heroes are thinking about one thing: the proper completion of the assigned task...
