The film is about the suffering of a mother with one of her sons who asks her to sell the family home, one of the traditional old houses, to repay his debts, but she categorically refuses to bow to his request in favor of the "commandment" of her husband, who recommended before his death to keep the house.
As co-directed by brothers Swad and Imad Noury (and produced by their mother, Pilar Cazorla), The Moroccan picture Heaven's Doors (2005) employs an episodic narrative, with three related substories presented sequentially. The Nourys shoot the episodes in distinct cinematographic styles (and with distinct overtones) suited to each tale, recalling Humberto Solas's masterpiece Lucia (1969).
Alia is an actress who lives in Rabat with her roommates, Leila and Hind. She's trying to make her way in the film world, with the hope of one day becoming a great actress. She receives a visit from her uncle Abderraouf, whom she hasn't seen in years. As time goes by, the relationship between the three young women and Abderraouf becomes increasingly difficult.
The Inspector (Youssef) and his colleague Morad begin to investigate the attempt to unravel the mystery of the five crimes. Ibelieving that this is a complex series of crimes. However, as the investigation progresses, doubts begin to arise regarding the possible involvement of his colleague Murad in this series of crimes. Is he really the real criminal? Was he able to mislead justice? Or is the offender free outside ?
A couple living a peaceful life despite their age difference, their harmony and closeness marked by contentment, until a third party enters their lives and turns them into hell.
