Approximately 4 million people in Germany have a brother or sister who is chronically ill or disabled. They have to deal with issues such as responsibility, renunciation and loss much earlier than their peers. Their reality is fundamentally different from that of other children and adolescents. Quietly observing and with great respect for all family members, the film approaches the different life realities of such siblings and depicts their everyday lives.

Out of addiction, into a drug-free life! "Sober Together" accompanies four people over the course of a year at Hof FleckenbĂĽhl, a self-help facility for addicts. For many, this seems to be the last resort to abstinence. But under strict rules and without therapeutic and medical care, some of the residents reach their limits. The documentary observes its protagonists in their struggle against addiction and leaves it up to the audience to develop their own attitude towards the unusual concept of Hof FleckenbĂĽhl.
