Tapas, an aspiring singer, and Mina, a troubled woman, meet by chance and decide to give life a chance together. As Tapas and Mina face struggles in their jobs, accusations of infidelity threaten their livelihoods, but they remain determined to overcome obstacles and find happiness.

One day Rehmat receives news of his daughter’s illness and decides to return to Afghanistan. But before he goes a violent fight with a customer leads to Rehmat killing him. One day Bani heard that Ambernath was very ill and he stayed in a lonely place. Bani rushed there and put her every effort to make him healthy. Later they came to know each other and lived happily.

"Ajante" is the story of a simple innocent man Ravi who falls in love with Usha not knowing that she is the very girl whose marriage he is trying to finalize with a high society guy Rudraksh. After Ravi's father's death, his elder brother usurps everything giving him a couple of rooms in the servants' quarter and 1 lakh rupees that his father had given as a loan to Mr. Natu. Mr. Natu is a cunning man who keeps delaying Ravi. He finally promises to give him the money if Ravi can get Jhilik married to Rudraksh. Rudraksh is a man full of vices yet Ravi does his best to finalize the wedding. Ravi meets Usha aka Jhilik and falls in love with her. Ravi finds out the truth that Usha is Jhilik the day Rudrasksh goes to marry her. Usha condemns Ravi for his cowardice and that makes him defy everything and marry her. Rudraksh and his family are arrested for claiming dowry."

Set in the turbulent 1930s, this is the story of a poor Chinese hawker selling his merchandise, Chinese silk, in the streets of Calcutta. This was the time when China was repulsing a brutal attack of militarist Japan and when an outraged Rabindranath Tagore wrote to his friend in Japan, the great poet Noguchi: “I wish your countrymen, whom I love so much, not success but remorse”. This film holds the dubious distinction of being the first to be banned (though temporarily) in independent India.

The movie revolves around the unwanted incidents that happened in the princely state of Ratnagarh. After the murder of King Chandrakanta, one Dr. Palit (Kamal Mitra) asked for help from one Detective Smarajit Sen (Sisir Batabyal), as a family friend. Detective Sen sent his assistant Bimal to Ratnagarh to investigate and ascertain the security of young Kumar Bahadur, a new predecessor of the royal family of the estate. They observed that a mysterious lady Manjusri (Manju De) sang an uncanny song in the adjacent water body near the palace. Mr. Gupta (Bikash Roy), a suspicious botanist who stayed in the neighborhood also roamed in that locality. It revealed that he was deprived of the real property of the royal family and took revenge by killing the members of the family. He used one deaf and dumb porter as a hired killer. Ultimately, he was killed by the detective at the end before he could commit another murder.

A story about a young man, who had to quit his studies as a doctor due to difficult circumstances, coming back and saving a young lady by performing a very difficult surgery.

Lalu and Chinta are neighbours and extremely good friends. One morning both of die and reach hell. However Yandyut exclaims that there was a mistake and that they were not the individuals he intended to kill. He orders Lalu and Chinta to be sent back to the earth but the latter claim for a tour of hell as compensation. Soon the friends find themselves back on earth but soon realize that their souls have been exchanges in error. This leads to a series of confusion of themselves as well as their near and dear ones. In the end their souls come back to themselves and there is no bound to their happiness, much to the amusement of the rest who did not know why they were so happy.

Suren, the son of a zamindar of Bangladesh, lives his life in his own way. He takes up the private tutor job for a girl whose elder sister is Madhabi, an ill-fated widow. But after a few days, he returns to his rich family and marries. But he cannot forget Madhabi who loves him like an elder and caring sister. In the meantime, when Madhabi's sister-in-law drives her out of the house, Suren hears that and arranges to return the property to her.

The 'Quit India Movement' of 1942.

Deep Narayan, a wealthy and noble man, is killed by his greedy brother Anugraha, who seeks to inherit his property if Deep dies childless. Unaware that Deep's wife, Shree, is pregnant, Anugraha proceeds with his plan. Before dying, Deep confides in his manager Chandrakanta, who vows to protect Shree. Shree gives birth to a son, Pradip, who grows up to take charge of the family business and falls in love with Shikha. When Shikha learns she's adopted, Pradip also discovers he isn’t Shree’s son. It's revealed that Chandrakanta had switched the babies, and Shikha is Shree’s daughter, while Pradip is the son of Deep’s employee, Mr. Sridhar. In a selfless act, Sridhar dies while saving Pradip during a rescue in the coal mines.

Bou Thakuranir Haat is a Bengali drama film directed by Naresh Mitra based on a novel of Rabindranath Tagore in the same name, published in 1883. The film is based on the real-life story of Jessore Raj Pratapaditya. Pratapaditya is described as an antagonist more than a protagonist in this film.
