Siqi Song is a director and animator born in China and based in Los Angeles. Her animated shorts have won awards at Austin Film Festival, Foyle Film Festival and have been shown in numerous film festivals including Sundance, Annecy, Ottawa and more.

In Chinese New Year holidays, finding the coin inside the dumplings means having a blessed year ahead. A young woman loses a jar on her journey to a new country, which contains the lucky coins she has been collecting growing up. Her new life begins with a search to find the coin.

This is an animated documentary about FOOD! I interviewed vegetarian, vegan, pescetarian and meat eater about their opinions about food and life choices. Then I animate real food with stop-motion technique based on the interviews. By putting the conversations in different context, the food speak for themselves.

Rabbit Tailor

The stop-motion animation is about a mischief boy adventuring in an unknown house and getting caught by the owner who lost her grandson in a car accident years ago. The intruder feels the grandma's sorrow, and tries to help her find peace of mind. The setting is based on the architecture of Suzhou, a historical water-town in Southern China.
