When Debora's ex-husband, a popular neomelodic singer, loses his life in a stage dive, she worries that her 11-year-old son Ciro may be showing symptoms of depression. Taken to a child psychologist, shy Tommaso, Ciro eventually confesses to him that it's not his father's death that has got him down, it's love for his classmate, the cute Ludovica. The two make a deal: Tommaso will help Ciro to win the affections of Ludovica, while Ciro will give Tommaso a hand at having a chance with his mother.

Based on actual events, this is the story of a young woman who meets the terrorist who murdered her father, a policeman, who died when she was just born.

Vittorio Zemeli is a man of about 60. He lives in an apartment in a grey building in a grey city center in Europe, crossed by a river. At the center of his house he leads a solitary life, with TV on continuously for company. One evening, like many other evenings, Vittorio sees an actor on TV identical to himself, while eating. The TV Victor kills himself. The next day Vittorio is anxious while on the way to work. Three friends surprise him and drag him into a popular restaurant in town for a birthday dinner. But the journey on the way back home will be one he won't forget.

Ciro is 14 years old. He lives in Scampia. He spends his days at school, at work and on the football field. He has no one to look up to, except his trainer and Anna, his childhood friend. In the neighbourhood lives Lello, a local crime boss surrounded by people who admire and respect him, and a myth that will slowly begin to crumble for Ciro.

Carmine, a sewer worker for the city of Naples, finds himself working in the vault of the Bank of Naples one morning, and he gets the idea to pull off a robbery using the sewer system. To pull off the heist, he enlists the help of Gaetano, a former robber with several years in prison; the depressed Peppe "'o' Sciomen," a legend of the Spanish Quarter and also a former prisoner for robbery; the boxer Ruocco, a former professional who ended up fighting in clandestine matches; and Striano, a photographer and robber. After completing the robbery, however, Gaetano disappears without a trace with the million-dollar loot, leaving his accomplices locked in their lair, hoping to see him reappear. As time passes, strong tensions build between the four, bringing out old misunderstandings and fracturing alliances, until a new threat looms on the horizon: the powerful boss Jannone demands a share of the loot they don't yet have.

The vicissitudes and adventures of a group of youngsters, left to themselves while an apparently placid and sleepy life flows undisturbed.
