Alix is Alix Cléo Roubaud, the heroine of Jean Eustache's film LES PHOTOS D'ALIX. The starting point for ALIX is a short Super 8 sequence shot in 1981. From this reduced material, through a structural and subjective montage of repetitions, loops and flashes, I succeeded in counteracting the coldness of the still image by creating an impression of movement and a kind of hypnotic spell, accentuated by Guillaume Esvelin's music.
